Jason Wright, PhD, MS

Vice President, Manufacturing

Jason Wright currently serves as the vice president of manufacturing, after originally joining Proclara as the director of manufacturing in 2008. Prior to Proclara, Wright was the head of chemistry, manufacturing and control (CMC) at Cambridge Antibody Technology (CAT, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca). At CAT, he led multi-disciplinary project teams for the company’s oncology programs in clinical and preclinical development, and oversaw numerous contractor relationships geared towards the production and release of clinical trials materials. Prior to that, Wright was the CMC team leader at Rinat Neuroscience Corporation until its acquisition by Pfizer. Before he began concentrating on technical operations, Wright established and managed the fermentation and cell culture development group at Rinat. He worked at Murex Ltd, Boehringer Mannheim GmbH (now Roche) and Bayer earlier in his career. Wright earned his doctorate in Cellular Biotechnology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, and also holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in Process Biotechnology from Teesside University.
